When considering a leak tester beware - there is no magic bullet. The correct leak tester is determined from many factors including the test pressure, the leak rate, the part's size, the part's construction, the cycle time, the budget, the features... No single measurement technology is the cure-all, which is why ATEQ manufactures a variety of leak tester measurement systems. An ATEQ leak tester may use any of the following technologies - volumetric flow, mass flow, pressure decay, differential pressure decay or ioniq. It is usually a technical consideration that will determine the measurement technology used for the leak tester. Often there is an overlap. It is this overlap that can confuse the issue when comparing the quotes for several leak tester companies. Be careful sometimes a company will quote one technology because that is all they make. In that case, they are not necessarily looking out for you and your leak test - they are looking out for themselves.
